It was much more sedate in my Iri...Sounds daft out! It was much more sedate in my Irish Christmas memory, and always a real tree. Though my mother didn't favor pink for decorating, she did allow us into the sitting room where the tree sat resplendant in the bow window. (Most of the year that room was off limits to us kids as it was the most Arctic room in the house, reserved for when visitors came.)It was a treat for us to be in there when it was warmed by a blazing fire throughout the holidays.
