Since the big clean up after the storm mood and energy are down. Muscles ache and soul is sore. Rain outside. The storm washed away all of the rambling roses.
So much destruction, and the need for such haste to keep things from being worse. Weary and bruised seem like genuine responses. A number of years ago but within a few months, a forest fire and substantial earthquake, and I have never been quite the same. I am sorry for the loss of the roses and the sense of peace.
