Thank you for this. "In The Days Before Rock 'N" Roll" long been a favorite of mine. I always thought that was Van Morrison speaking. There is so much that I don't know. Have not been commenting anywhere much lately but continue to stop by at your blog and appreciate what you post.
Van Morrison has a Belfast accent - and although his is a gentler version now, in it's purest form it can be almost as difficult to understand as a Scottish accent. It probably sounds a bit precocious but I can hear the different accents in this song, probably because I had years of practice... Thanks for your lovely comment!
