January 20. A remarkable demonstration of unity as if in gleeful celebration of the departure of the Orange Buffoon and presciently counterpoint to the disunity he practised. I sing solo because what would I do between weekly lessons if I was solely a member of a choir - alone, the baritone line of the Mass in B Minor is a series of fragments. But that's not to say I don't envy being part of such a joyful noise as this. Am I wrong in thinking the music - more particularly its expression - is somehow anti-Trump?
There is no music as beautiful to me as the music made by human voices harmonizing.
ReplyDeleteThe strength found in song. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteComforting.
