:-) I love days like that.

Do you live anywhere near Achern? An ancestor on my mother's side lived there until the 1800s. Her husband came to the United States from Stadtlengsfeld around the same time. They settled in Boston.

The forest and narrow road look so familiar to me. Like a winter day in the Pacific Northwest. I don't mind the cloud cover at all. I feel peaceful when the forest is asleep. Lovely photos.

I am about a five hour drive north from Achern. And the forest (the Black Forest) down there is much more spectacular.
Today was heavy frost and fog, not a sound. While on the same spot on Friday the air was full of birdsong and woodpeckers.

Yes, this weather clears out the people so I can have the forest all to myself.

Oh, what a lovely sleeping forest! Are these the paths along which you pedal your bike? So peaceful looking. Sigh.

Hi Jayne, yes this is my way to work.
