Ha! Thank you for this. This is how to survive, no matter what happens.

Made me think of what James Joyce wrote, which has stayed in my mind since I first read the words in 1967-1968 as a freshman in college: "History is a nightmare from which I am trying to awake."

Thanks for the link to the ballad. Many years ago I used it in a heated debate with my tutor who would not believe that in proper Irish English, we do say "amn't I" and that it was not a grammatical error.
