This song was written for times like these.
The pianist is Davide Martello. He turns up from time to time in places and at rallies in my city too. There are some interviews with him online if you want to know how and why he travelled to the Polish-Ukrainian border, just google his name.
Beyond the border there is still a war raging... but for those crossing from #Ukraine at #Medyka they are greeted by some hope of peace.

We found Davide Martello playing a song by a local Liverpool lad - it was written in 1971 but somehow it's more poignant than ever. pic.twitter.com/OMkJi8zMIp

Lovely to see hope in such a dark place.
I love this SO much.
The mysterious power of music doing its work. Thank you, Davide Martello.
Thank you, Sabine.
Ukraine is holding steady, even kicking some Russian butt but there won't be much left of Ukraine it seems when they finally manage to prevail.
It was so beautiful to listen to that. What a wonderful human being.
Always makes me cry.
